Fear the Walking Dead season 4 casts Gossip Girl alum Kevin Zegers
According to a new report from Deadline, Zegers (best known for his roles on Gracepoint and Gossip Girl) has been cast to be a major part of the upcoming batch of episodes. However, for the time being (and in true AMC fashion), there is not that much being said about his part in advance. They like to preserve an element of mystery, so that viewers get the big surprises while watching the show. While we certainly understand the element of surprise working in the show’s favor, Fear the Walking Dead needs to get people excited about its story. The ratings aren’t what they once were and it’s hard to convince people out there that the third season was better than recent years of The Walking Dead proper. We know that there are plenty of stubborn viewers out there who watched the first episode or two, grew frustrated, flipped the dial, and haven’t really bothered to watch since, but this show has become one of our favorites – even more so than The Walking Dead.
Filming on Fear the Walking Dead season 4 recently began in Austin and the biggest news to come out of it is the addition of one Lennie James. The recent Walking Dead actor is departing that show, (at least for the time being) in order to bring a version of Morgan over to the spin-off. That lends itself to all sorts of questions about possible time jumps, geography, history, and a whole lot more. They’re all probably going to be addressed over the first few episodes of the season, who have a new creative team in Ian B. Goldberg and Andrew Chambliss of Once Upon a Time. Scott M. Gimple, (showrunner of The Walking Dead proper) is also coming over for a larger role.
New episodes of Fear the Walking Dead will most likely premiere on AMC in the summer of 2018.
