Blindspot season 3 episode 6 preview: Roman blackmails Weller

Well, a big part of Blindspot season 3 episode 6 is going to feel very familiar to many viewers out there: After all, you’re going to see Roman being a jerk. For the record, there are two different kinds of jerk — the kind who tells off the barista at Starbucks for no reason or takes up two parking spots at the grocery store because he doesn’t want anyone parking next to his BMW, and then the kind who makes a concentrated effort to ruin your life. Based on what we’ve come to learn about Roman at the moment, he’s not one of those BMW types. He’s out to make Jane Doe’s life hell in any way that he can, and on this upcoming episode it feels like one of the ways in which he can do that is by coming at Weller.

Blindspot has the makings of a great episode coming up here, but it feels pretty clear what the biggest struggle at the heart of the story is going to be: Lofty expectations. When you’ve got a story that has brought so many big twists and turns to the table already, is there any way in which you can top all of that? It’s going to be a challenge, whether it be in this episode or any others coming up, to top what we had with the big reveal of Jane secretly having a daughter that she didn’t know about. If the producers do find a way to top that they deserve all of the applause in the world. (They already deserve some for having a guest cast that includes some of the people listed off above.)
