Victor Garber confirms Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow-verse exit (video)

Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 7

For the first time since the Crisis on Earth-X crossover, Victor Garber is speaking on leaving Legends of TomorrowThe venue in which that is happening is via the new CW video below.

For those of you who cannot see it depending on what country you’re located in, we’ve transcribed the interview part of it below:

“I’ve loved the whole experience of being in this genre, this world. It’s just something I never really knew about and didn’t really understand. Meeting fans of the show has been a really lovely thing. When you sign a picture for a nine-year old kid it’s very humbling.

“Franz [Drameh] is a brilliant actor. We’re brothers and father and son. I love that. I love working with him.”

For the Arrow-verse and much of The CW to have someone of Garber’s caliber on Legends of Tomorrow really is a blessing, and it’s something that is incredibly rare. Many of the actors who are cast on these shows are often getting this as their big break — many of them have recurred elsewhere or are just starting out, and they’re looking to get grounded and have some time in the spotlight with a consistent job. Garber’s already had that and then some. Just look at some of his other word in between Web Therapy, Eli Stone, Power, Alias, Justice, Deception, or any of his film and theater work. This is a man who’s had an opportunity to do almost everything in his career and this is yet another credit to add to his impressive resume.

As for the reason behind Garber’s departure, much of that has to do seemingly with his desire to return to the stage, which he is doing in the new year. Hopefully, this will not inhibit his ability to appear at some conventions here and there and still be a part of the superhero world — we do know that a younger version of his character will appear in the midseason finale. It’s also nice to see that Drameh will continue as the other half of Firestorm in Jefferson Jackson, but the writers have to work out the mechanics of his possible powers given that the entire appeal of Firestorm is that it comes about via the merging of two different people.
