The Good Doctor episode 10 spoilers: Could Shaun Murphy head to therapy?
However, he does have plenty of other obstacles that he needs to confront and that includes his life outside of the hospital. This is hard for any doctor to navigate, let alone one with autism. You work extremely long hours and have to deal on a regular basis with a number of traumatic situations. On the other side of that can come a lot of stress and it can be hard to find other people who relate to you.
It’s for this reason that we could see Dr. Glassman in this episode doing everything that he can in order to ensure that Dr. Murphy is able to find a little bit of extra support on The Good Doctor episode 10. The attached synopsis below (via ABC) gives you a sense as to what’s ahead:
Members of the hospital’s surgical team are initially impressed with a charming young doctor, but his true character puts one of them in an awkward position at work. Meanwhile, Dr. Glassman feels Dr. Shaun Murphy needs a little more support with his personal life and suggests he meet with a therapist. However, Shaun is determined to show him that he can do it on his own.
Hopefully, The Good Doctor episode 10 will be an episode where we get a number of interesting cases mixed with a personal struggle for Shaun like no other. While we think that the first half of the season could end with some sort of medical catastrophe and be interesting, we hope that the focus instead is on a cliffhanger related to Shaun’s personal life. This is a show that is more about the characters — as good as David Shore is at writing medical drama, House was best when its focus was on the title character and those around him. The same can be effectively said here.
