Criminal Minds and SEAL Team ratings solid day before Thanksgiving
However, we do come today bearing some especially good news when it comes to the ratings for both of these shows — they didn’t drop! While it would’ve been awesome to see their ratings go up, sometimes you have to get your ratings victories wherever you can. Here, getting the same numbers as the week before is a huge achievement — the holiday was probably offset somewhat by Criminal Minds and SEAL Team not having to air opposite any other show since nothing was on the air.
Now, let’s get to briefly touching on the specific ratings for both of these shows.
Criminal Minds – At 10:00 p.m. Eastern, the show managed a 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic and more than 6.2 million viewers for the installment entitled “Neon Terror.” Obviously, the show has performed a whole lot better over the course of some past seasons, but remember that we’re dealing with a later timeslot and a slightly-different cast. Within the context of what we’ve seen so far this season you have to consider this a win.
SEAL Team – Now, let’s turn to the David Boreanaz military series. It drew a 1.1 rating and almost 7 million viewers, a very good performance for a show that needed to prove that it’s leveled off in the ratings. CarterMatt was pretty worried about the show’s renewal hopes a few weeks ago, but if it stays at around the position that it’s at right now, we’d argue that it should have some sort of shot at a second season.
Both series are now off the air for a little while, but they do have more episodes airing this season. We’ll see if the hiatus that is coming up for them ends up causing them some more damage than the holiday did.
