Sneaky Pete season 2 premiere date: When could it stream on Amazon?

When could the Sneaky Pete season 2 premiere arrive on Amazon? Obviously, we’d like to vote “right away” given that any show with the talent level of this one should be on a 24/7 loop. Alas, that’s impossible.

Luckily, what we know is that the show could be on its way in the relatively near future. In a post on Twitter this past Halloween, Margo Martindale confirmed that season 2 wrapped filming at the end of October. This means that it’s now up to the folks in post-production in order to see just how quickly they get the story together! Considering the sort of time it takes to edit and score a show together properly, this would make the second season of Sneaky Pete premiere at some point in the winter/spring of next year. The first season premiered in mid-January, and it would be a pretty tight window to get it all together at that point — it’s possible in theory. Our feeling is more that you will see it in the late January / February range, even if it is forced to combat a number of other popular shows.

No matter when it premieres, Sneaky Pete season 2 is going to get the full commitment of Amazon. The streaming service chose to pick up the series for a second season less than a week after the first one came out! If you wanted to see evidence of a commitment, this is a pretty clear sign of it. Sneaky Pete was originally passed on back at CBS, but Amazon came through with a fantastic commitment and seems to be determined, (alongside the producers) to make this new season of the show the best that they possibly can.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the first season just yet, there is absolutely plenty of time in order to catch up! There are ten episodes in the first season and you can watch them all over the holidays. You probably have Amazon Prime in the first place just to make holiday shipping all the easier.
