Poldark season 4 US premiere date: When should PBS air Aidan Turner series?

Want to know the Poldark season 4 US premiere date? The only thing that we can say about that is “join the crowd.” Today marks the season 3 finale of the series on PBS, and with that comes questions about the future.

Before getting into the possible premiere dates, there are a few other things that you should know. This begins with the fact that Poldark season 4 production is underway at the moment in the United Kingdom; not only that, but it’s been underway for a rather long time now! Filming of the fourth season is going to continue from now until the spring most likely, and it could premiere on BBC One in the UK this summer. When it comes to a possible Poldark season 4 US premiere date, we don’t foresee the series necessarily taking its cues all that much from what is happening overseas beyond just letting the show premiere first on the BBC. We feel that the UK liked the show airing in the summer, and it performed well there earlier this year. With that, we imagine that the show’s fourth season will air on PBS once more in the fall of 2018.

What about beyond this? We know that there is more than enough material from the Winston Graham source material to make a fifth season, but beyond that could be a little tricky. Aidan Turner seems interested in doing a fifth season, so hopefully it is renewed at some point before season 4 premieres. There are some major challenges that are going to come with that — namely, the show will have to figure out a way to age Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson in a way to match their characters. There are some significant time jumps within the Poldark novels and we can’t foresee anyone in production wanting to recast any of the main adult roles. Turner, Tomlinson, and the rest of the adult cast are among the main reasons why so many love this show in the first place.
