Arrow 6×09 and Legends of Tomorrow 3×09: Quentin Kidnapped; Jax’s risk

Slade Wilson's son

Arrow 6×09 and Legends of Tomorrow 3×09 are airing next month, and these two episodes could be game-changers in many ways. They’re the first episodes following the crossover for both shows, and both could prove essential in trying to push the story forward.

Let’s start off here with Arrow, given that its episode entitled “Irreconcilable Differences” is going to be a big one for the Quentin Lance character. Take a look at the synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

BLACK SIREN KIDNAPS LANCE – Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) is kidnaped by Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) and Cayden James (guest star Michael Emerson), who are looking to trade Lance’s life for a weapon of mass destruction. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Team Green Arrow must figure out a way to save Lance while still keeping the city safe. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Beth Schwartz & Sarah Tarkoff (#609). Original airdate 12/7/2017.

Is there going to be a way to actually do this? We’re genuinely worried that there isn’t and this could be Quentin’s swan song. We’ve certainly had some similar fears about this in the past so it makes sense to start asking some of these questions now. It’s been a quiet story for Quentin this season — save for Earth-2 Laurel hunting him down, there hasn’t been all that much happening with him. We’ve always loved this character and we would love to see more happening for him.

As for Legends of Tomorrow…

You’re getting an episode entitled “Beebo the God of War,” which is about as odd of a title as you are going to see. This also seems to be the show’s version of Vikings — it’s probably a good thing it’s not going to be the real Vikings since Ivar the Boneless would likely try to murder them for looking at him the wrong way. Check out some more details:

FOLLOW YOUR HEART – Rattled by recent events, the Legends dive into work which finds them investigating an Anachronism in a Viking settlement in the New World. The Legends realize that the Norsemen are worshipping an artifact as their god and are surprised by the artifact’s origin. For the first time, Sara (Caity Lotz) is worried that they might need back up when Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) shows up. Meanwhile, Jax (Franz Drameh) finds a loophole that could potentially change history, but it is a risk he is willing to take. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Nick Zano, Tala Ashe, Maisie Richadson-Sellers and Dominic Purcell also star. Kevin Mock directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & James Eagan (#309). Original airdate 12/05/2017.

This could be a culmination of the Jax story, which has involved him debating as to whether or not he and Martin Stein can split. With Victor Garber potentially leaving as a series regular this season, this is something that we have to be on watch for.
