Chicago PD season 5 episode 8 return date: Burgess’ boyfriend; drama in ‘Politics’

Chicago PD season 5 episode 8

Chicago PD season 5 episode 8 is an episode that is really not mincing words when it comes to what it’s about. The title, after all, is “Politics.” When it comes to dealing with partisanship we find that the NBC show is by and large neutral, and that will likely continue to be here as well. The issue instead is whether or not a politician should be treated differently than anyone else when they are at the center of a scandal — and the one featuring one of Voight’s friends is especially heinous.

For a little more news on what to expect here, check out the synopsis CarterMatt has for you below. One thing that you should know is that the Chicago PD season 5 episode 8 return date is not for two more weeks because of the Thanksgiving holiday.

11/29/2017 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : INTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATES A TWISTED CASE INVOLVING A CONGRESSMAN CAUGHT WITH A DEAD GIRL. One of Voight’s (Jason Beghe) friends, Congressman Scott Graynor (guest star Scott Bryce) is found passed out in his hotel room with a dead Ukranian girl. When Intelligence discovers the murder is connected to a sting and Burgess’ (Marina Squerciati) boyfriend (guest star Zach Appelman) is working with the Feds, Burgess must choose between compromising her case or her boyfriend’s case. Also starring Jon Seda, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Elias Koteas, LaRoyce Hawkins, Amy Morton and Tracy Spiridakos. Guest starring Wendell Pierce, AlexAnn Hopkins and Ty Jones. TV-14 D, L, V

Will Voight work extra hard to protect a friend? Maybe, but if the evidence is too deep for him to ignore it, he will have to arrest him or face a PR nightmare. For the record though, it seems a little too easy to say that this politician is guilty — if he’s found in the hotel room with the dead woman it could be the part of a much larger reveal. There’s a chance that he was set up, for example.

As for the Burgess storyline, we heard a while ago that Appelman would be appearing in a role that challenges her own relationship between her work life and her personal life. This seems to be a big theme for this episode as a whole. (For the record, we’ll have a quote or two from Marina Squerciati about this new relationship at some point between now and this story airing.)
