Poldark season 3 finale preview (PBS): George, Whitworth’s new test

Poldark season 3 finale

The Poldark season 3 finale is airing on PBS in just one week’s time, and there is going to be chaos in many different forms.

For Ross, he could see his relationship turning into tatters. His marriage to Demelza has been in danger for weeks now, and the more that he pushes her away the more that she could consider Hugh Armitage as more of a viable option. He’s giving her so much of what Ross is not — genuine love, and attention. It’s something that Ross has, regrettably, steered clear from doing during much of his own time with her so far. We do think that he does care for her still, but he has a difficult time of expressing that due to his own history and maybe even his own guilt. He may feel as though he doesn’t fully deserve her love after some of what he’s done, including sleeping with Elizabeth in the past.

To go along with this, the synopsis the CarterMatt has for you below does a good job of offering up a little more insight as to what is coming up for some of these characters:

“Elizabeth turns the tables on George. Whitworth is checkmated. Demelza and Armitage reveal their true feelings. Ross Poldark makes a vow.”

That’s right: The Poldark season 3 finale could end up being a reckoning of sorts for both George and Whitworth after some of what they’ve done. For George, what he fails to realize is that Elizabeth is in part awakened now to some of his misdeeds and treatment of other people. While she has put up with a lot in terms of his treatment of Ross, what he ended up doing with Aunt Agatha was a bridge too far.

For Whitworth, there’s nothing more satisfying than seeing this louse and sexual predator having his life torn apart. We hope that this is every bit as satisfying as it sounds on paper.

No matter what happens on the Poldark season 3 finale, remember this: There will be a season 4! Filming has been going on for this for several weeks now.
