Real Housewives of Atlanta preview: Kandi Burruss shades Porsha Williams

Real Housewives of Atlanta premiere

Stop us when this sounds familiar: On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Sunday night, someone’s medical condition will be discussed. For some reason, the legitimacy of medical issues seems to be one of the franchise’s favorite hot topics, and that’s coming your way is thanks mostly to Porsha Williams.

You see, Shamea is getting married, but Porsha is making a big deal about why she may not be able to attend because she is unable to fly coach. She talks openly about it, and that leads to Kandi Burruss throwing some shade at her. The sneak peek below gives you some more insight into what she says, and this feels like the sort of gossip that will probably be regurgitated a thousand times over and then discussed at the reunion show. Kandi’s perception of this is pretty simple: Porsha just doesn’t want to go and is looking for a reason to not have to. You can believe her or not believe her, but when Porsha hears about some of what was said here she’s probably going to be upset about it either way.

Below, you can check out the synopsis that CarerMatt has for you below to gain a little bit more insight as to what’s coming up:

After the showdown at Cynthia’s 50th birthday party, Porsha’s sister, Lauren and niece, move into her palace. Cynthia struts her way back into the dating scene with a much younger beau. After the fallout from the painful history with ex-husband Bob was made public, Shereé meets with a life coach to help get her life back on track. Meanwhile, Kenya is confronted with scrutiny about her husband, which turns out to be more than she can handle. A few of the ladies attend Shamea’s bridal shower, and all seems well until Porsha gets called out for being a shady best friend.

Out of all of these stories the one with Kenya is the one we feel for the most. She wants to have her job as a part of the show, and yet, she wants to still have some privacy with her husband. It may sound a little bit hypocritical on paper since this is a show all about exposing her personal life, but we get where she’s coming from in trying to have her cake and eat it, too. Also, she understandably thinks that she has enough value on her own to not be defined just by her relationship … but, the fact that she is keeping it under the radar probably will be an excuse for the other women to gossip more about it. We just saw the same thing happen on the most recent season of Shahs of Sunset with Asa as she is keeping her relationship with Jermaine Jackson and their newly born son off camera much to the ire of the rest of the cast.
