Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 6 preview: McGarrett’s stress intervention

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 6

We’ve learned many things about Steve McGarrett on Hawaii Five-0 over the years, including that he is very good at his job and that that it doesn’t leave a lot of time open for his personal life.

However, we’ve also learned that he has a tendency to get himself in such intense situations that he doesn’t have an opportunity to even breathe sometimes. The man is stressed to the max. Not even getting a dog seemed to have calmed him down all that much. This is where Danny comes in! We’re not sure that Steve wants the help, but let’s be real: He’s getting it anyway. Nobody gives advice no one asked for quite like Danny Williams and that is one of the things that we love about the character the most.

If you look below, the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 6 synopsis CarterMatt has for you does a pretty good job detailing some of what you can expect to see in the story coming up:

“Mōhala i ka wai ka maka o ka pua” – The murder of two tourists leads Five-0 to a man suffering from multiple personality disorder, where one of them becomes violent and another is a child. McGarrett is accompanied on the case by a stress management consultant, whom Danny and the others have hired to help him manage his health, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 10 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

For those wondering, “Mōhala i ka wai ka maka o ka pua” is Hawaiian for “Unfolded by the Water are the Faces of the Flowers.” We’re not sure if that actually tells you anything more about the story coming up, but many titles for this show often don’t. The comedy of the episode clearly looks to be all about McGarrett trying to find a way to relax, whereas the case of the week is pretty harsh and severe. Our feeling is that this is an opportunity for Hawaii Five-0 to take shine a light on the importance of good mental health and show just how severe it can be if left untreated.
