The Flash season 4 episode 5 preview: Iris’ bachelorette party!

Flash season 4 episode 5

Will The Flash season 4 episode 5 be a blast? It better be, since this is Iris West’s bachelorette party and you’re not going to get many episodes like it! Before this season kicked off, the show’s executive producers noted that their goal was to make the story lighter and funnier than last year and the comedic potential for this storyline is limitless. It’s Iris, Caitlin, Felicity and many other characters letting loose in Central City! What’s not to like?

Unfortunately for Candice Patton and company, something is going to happen that could mess up the plans. Take a look at the Flash season 4 episode 5 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below:

KATEE SACKHOFF (“BATTLESTAR GALACTICA”) AND EMILY BETT RICKARDS (“ARROW”) GUEST STAR – Having received an ominous threat from her old boss, Amunet (guest star Katee Sackhoff), Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) fears that her past time as Killer Frost may be back to haunt her. Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) comes to Central City to help the girls celebrate Iris’s (Candice Patton) bachelorette party, while Cisco (Carlos Valdes), Joe (Jesse L. Martin) and the guys take Barry out for a night on the town. Laura Belsey directed the episode written by Lauren Certo & Kristen Kim (#405). Original airdate 11/7/2017.

As much as the bachelor / bachelorette parties may be featured in this hour, this episode is as big for Caitlin as it is for anyone. You will have a chance to learn more about her time away from the team over the summer, including how she is able to reconcile the Caitlin part of her and also the part that is Killer Frost. Adding in Sackhoff, (who we love at CarterMatt thanks to Longmire and Battlestar Galactica) is just the icing on the cake.

With Felicity coming on board, consider this the crossover before the crossover. Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow are all going to be coming together for the huge Escape from Earth-X crossover event a little later this year. For the sake of that crossover some of the other major plot points of the season, (including The Thinker) will be temporarily pushed to the side.
