America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell hospitalized after fainting spell

Simon Cowell hospitalized

There was a scary situation that unfolded earlier today regarding America’s Got Talent judge / executive producer Simon Cowell. The music mogul, also known for being on American Idol and creating the X Factor franchise, found himself in a dangerous position after falling in his home. He was seen being carted away from his home in a neck brace before being hospitalized. He is now in stable condition, and while he should be fine his appearance on The X Factor this weekend is currently in doubt.

Responding to much of what transpired, Cowell’s rep had the following to say per The Sun:

“It’s been a scary morning … It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep. He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs.”

There isn’t too much to say in regards to the accident itself other than that we hope that Simon gets much better. We’ve watched him on TV for a rather long time and despite whatever sort of impression he may give off as a harsh, stern judge, he is actually a rather nice guy who cares about his people around him. We interviewed him here at CarterMatt prior to the 2016 season of America’s Got Talent and found it to be one of our more memorable interviews in quite some time. The most important thing for him now is that he’s okay — while we understand that he is the most appealing part of The X Factor beyond the contestants as someone who watched that show for many years, the show will be fine if he misses things this weekend. Focus on getting better and remember that the series will be there for him to judge on the other side.

Cowell’s television gigs in America are such that he won’t be doing too much for them in a while, save for maybe another AGT holiday special if NBC wants to do that again. He is also developing a new comedy project with the network.

When we do have a little more updates here at the site when it comes to Cowell’s condition, we’ll let you know. For now, we absolutely wish him well.
