Supergirl season 3 ratings even; Good Doctor falls; Valor clings to life

Supergirl season 3 ratings

Some of the latest Supergirl season 3 ratings are in, and the good news there is that the CW show is still stopping the bleeding.

Last night’s new episode ultimately drew as a whole a 0.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic. While that may not be the greatest performance for the show in human history, it is steady versus the two previous weeks. The reason we do spotlight Supergirl at the moment is because we are rather worried for it as we get a little further on and Floriana Lima is not a part of the story anymore. What happens with the then? There are likely going to some unhappy viewers, but the show’s in a bit of a pickle there since they didn’t want Lima to leave in the first place. They just have to figure out a way to move forward with some of the people that they have.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on The CW the latest episode of Valor at least kept the majority of the viewers that it had — not that there is much lower it could go than a 0.2. We do still think this is going to be one of the first cancellations of the season given that, by and large, there are some good reasons for the network to eventually use this timeslot for something else.

Mind you, we’re not rooting for anything to get canceled. We’re just reporting on some of the numbers as we find them out.

As for other ratings news…

The Good Doctor, as of right now, is under a 2.0 rating in the demo for the first time this season with a 1.9. It has adjusted up frequently as of late and we do think it could do so again here. Either way, the retention on this series a month into the run is pretty remarkable.

Meanwhile, this was a pretty quiet night Monday without too many big ratings swings. We should point out that 9JKL did improve this week to a 1.4, but we’re still very concerned for what the numbers are going to be here when The Big Bang Theory moves to Thursday next week and it doesn’t have this lead-in anymore.

What do you think about the latest Monday ratings?
