Scandal season 7 episode 6 spoilers: Quinn and Charlie’s wedding

If you’ve been wondering when Quinn and Charlie’s wedding would take place, Scandal season 7 episode 6 seems to be it. Of course, we use the words “seems to be” here knowing full well that this is Scandal and, therefore, there is a reasonably good chance that nothing goes according to plan and everything falls apart by the end of the hour. This is the Scandal way, and while we know that there are many a Charlie / Quinn ‘shipper out there, we’ve also felt that there was still a chance that something goes awry and the two characters don’t actually end up together.

Of course, the synopsis below for the upcoming November 9 episode (via SpoilerTV) doesn’t really tip its cap one way or another, but it does a pretty good job of hinting at what could be coming up:

On the episode “Vampires and Bloodsuckers” – The Gladiators come together to celebrate Quinn and Charlie’s big day. Back at the White House, Cyrus, Mellie and Jake deal with a new crisis in the Middle East on “Scandal,” airing THURSDAY, NOV. 9 (9:00-10:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network.

On the surface this synopsis absolutely sounds innocent enough, and that Quinn and Charlie are going to be able to come together and deliver an episode that is very much entertaining and celebratory. Will it be? That’s not something that we or anyone else is going to be able to answer until we actually get around to seeing the story play out. One of the few things that we can say at the moment on the subject of this is that something almost always tends to go wrong.

When you look back and what’s happening in the White House you may have a chance to see some drama that could offset the tone of the wedding in the event that it actually goes off without a hitch. Is this related to the current storyline with the fictionalized Bashran? Maybe, but using context clues here — namely, the words “new crisis in the Middle East” — we have a feeling that this is reasonably unrelated. We’ll see if that ends up actually being the case when the dust settles here.

Scandal season 7 episode 6 is going to bring us ever closer to the halfway point of this final season, and knowing this show there are probably many more surprises that are still to come.
