Shadowhunters season 3 spoilers: A few quick teases as to what’s coming

Shadowhunters season 3 spoilers

The bad news if you’re a Shadowhunters fan is at this point rather clear: There is no new episode between now and the spring.

For some reason that is completely lost on us, there is not going to be a new episode of the Freeform series coming up in the near future. We could dwell on this (there is a part of us that wants to here at CarterMatt given how bummed-out we are about it), but instead we are going to do our best to just move forward now to the next important bit news: Figuring out what is actually coming to be coming up when the show returns!

This is where we turn to executive producer Todd Slavkin, a man who knows better than anyone what’s going to come up because he’s the one looking at the scripts. In one of the posts that he made on Twitter, Slavkin made it clear that “there is a good chance” that you’re going to get a chance to see a big storyline for the Lightwood siblings over the course of what is coming up.

There’s a lot to touch on here with Alec, Izzy, and others — in general we’d just like to see more of Izzy since we feel like her best story was before we got around to near the end of season 2.

Speaking of which, Slavkin also made it clear that there could be some good scenes coming up between Izzy and Jace — Izzy could be a source of advice for him! One of the things to remember if you’re a Clace fan is that the relationship is still in the early going. There are going to be some bumps in the road and you may as well be prepared for that right now. (If you’re not, you better prepared to be stunned at some point.)

Maybe Izzy could also help Alec out at some point? Certainly, but his relationship with Magnus is different in many ways. For one, Izzy doesn’t have a lot in common with Magnus beyond just their sex, and then there’s also the commitment that is already there with Magnus and Alec.
