Criminal Minds season 13 episode 5 preview: Derek Morgan is back!
The difference this time around is pretty darn simple — the last time that Morgan turned up, it was in order to help the BAU stop Mr. Scratch in his tracks. However, this time around there is a little more of a personal reason for his visit: He is going to be around in order to lend a helping hand to one Penelope Garcia, who will be hurting because of a haunting case from the past. In the event you have not heard, this said case is one that will feature the return of Jamie Kennedy in his infamous role from a good ten years ago. That episode was entitled “Lucky” — this one, in turn, is entitled “Lucky Strikes.” Notice a theme here?
Anyhow, the CBS synopsis offers you up a little bit more in the way of insight all about just what is going to be coming up in this installment.
Criminal Minds season 13 episode 5 synopsis – “When Garcia experiences anxiety over a case that’s personal to her from her past, Morgan visits to lend emotional support, on CRIMINAL MINDS, Wednesday, Oct. 25 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
Will this episode offer up some opportunities to see some of these characters tested? Signs do seem to suggest that, but beyond that it’s going to be a chance for the show to look back and reflect a little more on its own history. Given that this show is by and large a procedural, this is not something that you really get a chance to see all that often. Hopefully, we’re going to have a few more opportunities to do this at some point this season — consider it the show offering up some sort of gift to fans who have stuck around through most of the series’ run.
