Nashville season 6 teaser promo surfaces via TNT

While Nashville season 6 may not be surfacing on CMT until we get around to January, by no means does that mean you have to wait to see a promo!

In the video you can see what is the latest intriguing teaser for the country music drama, with the unfortunate thing being that it doesn’t give you a full sense of what is coming for Maddie, Juliette, Deacon, or any of the other main characters in the aftermath of the events of last season. One of the things that we do know at present is that their careers will move forward, more than likely in some interesting, unexpected ways … especially since the music industry is so fluid. Thanks to the Juliette storyline already one of the things that we’ve come to realize is that one moment you’re selling hit singles, and another you’re in the cellar when your gospel album tanks and nobody is altogether interested in buying it.

The sixth season marks an interesting time for Nashville — it’s the second one to air on CMT, but the first time that the previous season ended knowing that it would stick around on the country-music network. It could be set up in a way that suits the CMT tone more so than season 4 was for 5 — which makes sense given that ABC had initially canceled the show. We feel like the series is going to be more music-oriented than ever, and the network will continue to allow for more branding opportunities. While you do want the show to feel as authentic as possible, at the same time it make sense to make a few moves here and there that also keep it a primetime soap. Nashville wears many hats, and we figure that things will stay that way for some time.

There’s no specific premiere date as of yet for Nashville season 6 other than January, but we’ll see if that changes over time. For the time being, we do hope that there’ll be some more news and previews released before we roll around to it.

What do you want to see when Nashville season 6 airs on CMT?

Do you think that we’re set up for another great season, or did you feel as though some of the season 5 storylines faltered a little too much for your liking? Be sure to share some of your thoughts on that subject in the comments!
