Bull season 2 episode 3 spoilers: Jason Bull, police consultant?

Bull season 2 episode 3

When Bull season 2 episode 3 ends up airing on CBS Tuesday night you could see the title character in a different position than usual. For the first time he’s going to be moving away from being a trial consultant ever so slightly to lend a hand to a police department for a change.

What’s going on here? Basically, this department wants to use him more as a “human lie detector test” as they try to get to the bottom of one of the trickiest cases they’ve encountered in quite a while. The setting here is a university campus, where — to the surprise of no one — some fraternity guys have caused some serious problems. The big difference here is the severity of the problem in comparison to what we’ve seen with many of them in the past. These guys have basically killed one of their own pledges, and because they all come from such rich families they’re very well insulated after the fact. They all have lawyers, and they all are clamming up rather than putting themselves in a position where they could be put on trial.

Basically, without Bull’s help isolating the truth from fiction the department isn’t exactly sure there is even going to be a trial to begin with.

We do think that there are few people better equipped to get the truth out of these people quite like Bull, mostly because he is a master of manipulation. He is excellent at figuring out a way to get information from people using unconventional means and we feel like he’s going to do that yet again on the show now. He’ll prove himself to be very smart and rather resourceful in his attempts to get through to the responsible parties — just remember here more than anything else that all he needs is one kid to crack. If he can figure out a way to do that, then he can use this kid as leverage on the others.

Note that we refer to these students as “kids” as a way to showcase what we believe their overall maturity level to be. In reality the accurate word to describe them is probably “monsters” based on the horrific nature of what it is that they have actually done. It may not have been purposeful, but the act of hazing and treating new pledges like garbage is a fairly detestable act.
