The Gifted episode 3 spoilers: Training Blink; Reed’s deal

Gifted episode 3

What’s going to be coming up on The Gifted episode 3? We know that for Fox the expectations have to be pretty high at this point. The show is coming off of a pretty solid debut on the network, and they do still have the X-Men license at their disposal. While they are obviously not going to mimic some of the stories that are out there within the feature films or shows like Legion, they’ve got a lot of material to work with alongside an established world people love. From a marketing standpoint one of the things that really does work for this show is that some of the work has already been done for the producers in terms of introducing the world — people already know it! With that, more of the focus here comes via seeing how some of these characters fit into that world and how much we care about them. It doesn’t matter if it’s Caitlin or Blink — people will have to be invested in order for the viewership to remain solid.

Take a look now a few more details regarding what’s coming on the October 16 episode entitled “eXodus.” (Yes, you should be prepared for a wide array of different X-Men title puns over the course of the season.

The Gifted episode 3 synopsis – “In an effort to reunite with one another, Reed cuts a deal with the Sentinel Services and Caitlin and the kids seek help from someone outside the compound. Meanwhile, Thunderbird begins to teach Blink how to control her powers.”

With Blink in particular one of the things that we really like here at CarterMatt is that the show isn’t wasting too much time in terms of showing off the full extent of her powers and what she can do. It’s going to take time for her to really get there but the foundation is being set. As for Reed, let’s just say that we’re worried virtually anytime we see some sort of story regarding a “deal” being cut. It’s hard for both parties to fully win there.
