Madam Secretary season 4 episode 2 preview: Can Elizabeth save a life?
For a little bit more insight regarding that, take a look at the synopsis below.
Madam Secretary season 4 episode 2 synopsis – “While Elizabeth is in Libya to help negotiate an end to their civil war, a tragic accident with her chauffeured car embroils her in an urgent situation to secure medical care for a gravely wounded local girl, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Oct. 15 (10:30-11:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
What is interesting about this story to us comes via the role reversal. Typically with Elizabeth she finds herself in a position where she looks at matters on a large scale. We’re speaking here of relationships between the United States and other governments, leaders, and ambassadors. She tries to make things good for the many by spending time with the people at the top. You hope that there is a trickle-down effect that comes with much of what she does, but there is ultimately no real proof that this is going to happen.
What could make this episode so interesting and exciting for Elizabeth is that she will find herself in another country trying to help a single person. It’s the total opposite of much of what she does. This is a very intimate, personal story that will help to give our favorite fictional Secretary of State a face to some of what she is trying to achieve. This is very important, and we hope that this proves to be an interesting, emotional story for her that changes her outlook. We do think that she does try to think of individual people as it is, but this may still make things different.
From an acting standpoint the biggest thing we are interested to see is Tea Leoni tackle this material — we definitely know she is capable of pulling it off.
