The Last Ship season 4: See Eric Dane’s Steve Harvey appearance (video)
The two videos below come from via Steve Harvey’s talk show, and here you can see him do his part to open up about the experience of working on the show, what it’s like taking his daughters to set (they’re apparently not having it), and also how much they know about his Grey’s Anatomy role of Mark Sloan. (It doesn’t seem like they know all that much about that at the moment.)
These videos are mostly lighthearted and don’t give all that much away about the TNT show or what’s coming up, but did you really expect for them to at the same time? The majority of the viewers of Harvey’s show aren’t going to be familiar with the story of the drama or the characters, so instead the show keeps things light while reminding viewers that The Last Ship is still out there. The final episodes of the season are airing back to back on Sunday, and we do hope that the viewership spikes for them to a certain degree.
One of the biggest things to remember right now when assessing the future of The Last Ship on TV is rather simple: If you watch live, good things can happen. The series is coming off of its least-watched ever, and the declining ratings in general this season are likely one of the reasons Dane has been given the okay to pursue other projects following the upcoming fifth season. If this show ends, it really does represent a significant changing of the guard for TNT. Just remember for a moment that Major Crimes recently confirmed that their final season is on the way, and it really may not be all that long now before we witness something similar happening here.
