Empire season 4 episode 3 preview: Cookie flashes back to prison

Interested in a great hour of Taraji P. Henson entertainment? Then Empire season 4 episode 3 may be up your alley. The time feels right for this episode, entitled “Evil Manners,” to put Cookie more in the spotlight. Terrence Howard has received the bulk of the great material so far this season and, when you consider the cliffhanger that closed things off season 3, understandably so. Empire season 4 episode 3 synopsis – “When Cookie is denied a line of credit, she flashes back to her years in prison and compares her past struggles to her life now. Lucious continues to struggle with demons of his own and begs his family to tell him about the ways he’s wronged them, but they are reluctant to tell him the truth. Meanwhile, the NYPD is still on Andre’s case about the events that transpired in Vegas and one officer in particular catches his eye in the all-new “Evil Manners” episode of EMPIRE airing Wednesday, Oct. 11 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. The Cookie prison story is important given that it is a time we have heard a lot about on the show — yet, there are still so many holes that do need to be filled in. The show’s best episodes are often the flashback ones since they bring you back to a simpler time when these characters were more innocent and less challenged by the weight of the world. The Cookie flashbacks back when she first met Lucious were heartbreaking when we first saw them, largely because she hadn’t experienced the full scope of suffering available to her now.

In prison, we imagine that Cookie truly learned more of what it means to suffer and have to deal with difficult obstacles thrown her way.
