Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 4 spoilers: Joey Lawrence returns!

Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 4

Following his debut episode this past Friday, Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 4 is bringing Aaron Wright back into the fold. Joey Lawrence is going to be making another appearance as the now-notorious hacker, who indirectly was responsible for setting much of the island on fire at the end of this past episode.

So what is interesting about his appearance on Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 4? Well, it’s really as simple as the notion of him having to work with the Five-0 for a change. While we don’t necessarily think that his stripes have changed in just a few episodes, this installment should prove interesting just in terms of seeing if there is anything that McGarrett or the rest of the Five-0 team could offer up that would convince Aaron to want to work with them.

For a little more insight on what’s coming in this episode (entitled “E uhi wale no ‘a’ole e nalo, he imu puhi” or “No Matter How Much One Covers a Steaming Imu, The Smoke Will Rise” — one of the longer episode titles in existence), we got the following synopsis at CarterMatt courtesy of the network:

“The lives of Five-0’s informants are in danger when the HPD system is hacked and one ends up dead, forcing McGarrett to enlist the help of hacker Aaron Wright (Joey Lawrence), who he just imprisoned, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Oct. 20 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

Basically, McGarrett wants Aaron to be on their side for a hacker vs. hacker showdown, and the results of this could prove to be pretty drastic. For example, what happens if Lawrence demands to be released in exchange for some his help? That’s almost certainly bad news for Five-0 since there’s a chance that he could go and release more arsonists from prison down the road. However, if they do nothing there’s a chance that even more informants die, which means that there are some other crimes that won’t be able to be prevented. No matter where you turn in this episode, it’s looking as though there is going to be some conflict. You do always want McGarrett and some of your other characters to be faced with difficult moral dilemmas and decisions.

It’s also worth noting that, per CBS, this episode is going to feature Jorge Garcia doing something very different from what we’ve seen from him in the past — it’s hard to know what this could be, but it should be nice to see Jerry have a prominent role given that it was only just last season when he got a badge for the first time.
