Bull season 2 episode 4 spoilers: First look at Brad Garrett!

Bull season 2 episode 4 is going to be even more entertaining than most, largely because you’re adding Brad Garrett to the mix! The former Everybody Loves Raymond star is going to be appearing in this episode as an attorney named Ron Getman, which for the record sounds precisely like the sort of name we would anticipate an attorney having. His specialty is going to be doing everything that he can to help free Bull of a difficult lawsuit, but we’re not altogether sure that it’s going to work out for him.

Actually, scratch that — it feels almost assured at this point that it’s going to backfire terribly. The title for Bull season 2 episode 4 is “The Illusion of Control,” and the synopsis below via CBS offers up a little more information regarding what lies ahead:

“Bull hires an eccentric attorney to represent him when a celebrity sues him after his advice regarding her custody case backfires, on BULL, Tuesday, Oct. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Emmy Award winner Brad Garrett guest stars as Bull’s attorney, Ron Getman.”

One of the things that we love almost immediately about the idea of this episode is that it brings Garrett back into a more comedic setting after some of his recent arcs on Fargo and Law & Order: SVU. We’re probably going to love him as an over-the-top character. Beyond that, this episode should be interesting just because you’re starting with Bull at such a loss. He’s going to find himself in the defendant’s chair for a change, and while he is not necessarily fighting to stay out of prison, there is something still at stake. As you saw in the premiere (which was a step up from much of season 1 creatively), Bull and the TAC aren’t on the best financial footing in the world. We’re not altogether certain that his company really needs to be in a position where some more terrible stuff is going to happen to it.

With this in mind, here’s to hoping that Ron Getman actually turns out to be a good attorney despite some of his various oddities.
