NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 3 spoilers: Another Sam undercover mission

NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 3

NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 3 is going to offer up a chance for some of you longtime fans of the show out there to get something both exciting and familiar: An undercover mission from Sam! While he may be struggling in the midst of a personal crisis at the start of the season, we’re going to see by the time this episode rolls around on October 15 a chance to get him back out in the field to do some of what he does best: Kick butt, take names, and get justice for people who desperately need it. This episode will contain a few interesting storylines, and you can see some of that in the synopsis below:

“When the daughter of a notorious counterfeiter arrives in Los Angeles, Sam is sent undercover as a financier, while Callen partners with Anna (Bar Paly) to track the family’s latest scheme, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Oct. 15 (9:30-10:30 PM, ET/9:00-10:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

What about Deeks, Kensi, Nell, Eric, and others? We do foresee many other characters having a role in the episode, but CBS being hush-hush on some of the finer details now given that they have no real reason to spill the beans early on everything coming up. Also, they often like to focus on procedural elements in these rather than some of the serialized stuff; you know that Densi have a lot of big stuff coming up, including a wedding, that the show is hopefully going to focus on.

Also, it’s no surprise see the return of Bar Paly to the show given that she’s been a recurring player for a while, and the team could use Anna’s help more than ever right now given just how much disarray there is between the various members of the team. There are a few different things to remember here. For one, Hetty may still be missing in action at the time this episode airs — we know that’s how it is going to be during the early part of the premiere, and there isn’t much word as of yet regarding if or when that will change. There’s also going to be a new boss in Shay Mosely (Nia Long), and the team could view the presence of someone like Anna as a little more of a constant during times of flux … even if it’d probably be wrong to pretend as though she’s been a part of the team forever.

The important thing to note here in this CarterMatt article is something we’ve said many times over the summer — while NCIS: Los Angeles may be in the midst of several changes, it is still very much the show that you remember and by and large the show you love.
