Scorpion season 4 episode 2 preview: Mark Collins back for more

Scorpion season 4 episode 2

When Scorpion season 4 episode 2 airs on CBS next week, much of the story is going to feel somewhat familiar and for good reason. This premiere episode is entitled “Extinction,” and this second episode is entitled “More Extinction.” If that’s not evidence we’re looking at a two-partner, we don’t know what is.

The first thing worth noting about his installment in advance is obviously the return of Josh Leonard as Mark Collins, given that the character is one of the team’s most-noted adversaries. Yet, in this instance they will realize that they may not have much of a choice other than trying to work with him. Don’t you think that’s going to be frustrating for Toby and others given their history? Probably, but you do sometimes have to just strap a smile on and deal with the fact that you’re doing something that you’re not that interested in doing. The primary goal here is the survival of the human race, and if there’s one thing that can bring enemies together it’s this. At the end of the day, we are going to see characters working together in order to ensure that the job gets done. Could it cost someone their job in the process? Well, the synopsis below makes us very much worried about Cabe.

Scorpion season 4 episode 2 synopsis – “Team Scorpion continues to work with their nemesis, Mark Collins, in order to prevent an extinction event that could end humanity. Also, Cabe’s last-minute decision while on the case leads to the possible end of his career, on SCORPION, Monday, Oct. 2 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Josh Leonard returns as Mark Collins.”

For every Robert Patrick fan out there (count us among that crew), remember this: We don’t foresee him actually going anywhere on the show. This may all just be a glorious red herring, and even in the event that Cabe does end up losing his job we definitely don’t see him leaving the show or being unemployed for long. There could be something even interesting that comes with seeing him displaced. What happens when this guy, who clearly loves his country and fighting for it, cannot quite do what he loves? We are very much interested in finding out.
