With The Blacklist: Redemption done, will Famke Janssen return to How to Get Away with Murder?

The Blacklist: Redemption is now done at NBC. With that, will Famke Janssen revisit How to Get Away with Murder in season 4? Eve is one of the show’s best characters — she has a romantic history with Annalise Keating, she’s incredibly intelligent, and she also understands the hyper-intense world in which these characters are a part of. She doesn’t really hold anything back, and you also wouldn’t want to see her hold anything back. Her power and determination is what makes her so interesting.

Unfortunately, as showrunner Pete Nowalk notes to TVLine, there are no plans at the moment to bring Famke back — though this, as it often does with these sort of shows, could change in the near future:

“I love Famke so much, and I love Eve and Annalise together. I hope we will see her again. We don’t have specific plans for that, but you never know. Any character that has affected Annalise in such an important way, like Eve — we like to make it feel real and like they’re still in each other’s lives. That is my hope.”

We personally would love to see Famke Janssen become a series regular down the road at this show, but more than that, How to Get Away with Murder should just focus in on the upcoming season on trying to tell small, interesting, and fascinating stories that put the main priority on trying to expand the characters’ worlds and who they are as people. We do think that the smaller episodes for this show are some of the best, and at times they do get a little too caught up in the idea of trying to tell stories full of jaw-droppers and cliffhangers that they lose sight of what makes some of these people human. (Oh, and we do also wonder how in the world the show is going to be moving forward without Alfred Enoch, given that Wes was one of the most interesting parts of the entire series.)

The new How to Get Away with Murder season is only days away from premiering! Be prepared for that, or if you love The Blacklist proper, know that Ryan Eggold is going to be back on the main show starting Wednesday after previously navigating over to The Blacklist: Redemption for its eight-episode run on the air. (We’ll have an exclusive interview with The Blacklist showrunner Jon Bokenkamp on Monday.)
