Arrow season 6 spoilers: Is Roy Harper returning? Colton Haynes suggests so
In a new post on Twitter in response to a fan, Colton Haynes made it clear that you will see his character, otherwise known as Arsenal, back in the near future. He’s been largely in the wind ever since leaving Star City on the show previously, hanging up the costume and adjusting more to a normal life. He has been almost forced to step away given that, in the eyes of the public, he was the original Arrow vigilante who was around for the first few seasons of the show.
As for how Roy could return now, that’s very much a subject for debate but there are a number of ways in which he could come back. The team could use his help, he could have some great scenes with Willa Holland (Thea), or it could just be one of those things where someone randomly runs into him somewhere. There are a lot of different ways it could happen, but for the time being the biggest thing to celebrate is the mere fact that it is. Roy, like Slade, is now in that stable of recurring characters who can pop up on the show every now and then.
Ever since leaving Arrow Haynes has been busy with a number of different projects, but at present his major role is as a main character in this current season of American Horror Story. You’re going to be seeing him around there for at least a handful of episodes, and sporting a very different look with the bleached-blond hair. Tonight, you will also have a chance to see him over on another show in Teen Wolf that is one of the reasons why he’s become so popular in the TV space in the first place. He started to find a following thanks to playing Jackson there, and it’s pretty cool to see him willing to go back and embrace that role once more after spending some time there previously.
Remember that new episodes of Arrow are going to start airing on The CW later this fall, and the premiere will do a good job of tying together the mystery of Liam Yu. Hopefully many of those characters will make it through the cliffhanger alive, but nothing is confirmed on that subject at the moment.
