America’s Got Talent results: Did Dunkin’ Save help Angelina Green, Colin Cloud, Greater Works?

Dunkin' Save

Tonight, the third America’s Got Talent results show is bringing you a Dunkin’ Save, plus performances from great alum!

For the sake of this article, though, we’re focusing more on the results than the return performances from the likes of Jon Dorenbos (who was actually traded from the Eagles since recording this piece), Piff the Magic Dragon, and Mat Franco. We’re also wondering when Dorenbos will be switching to magic full-time given all of the money that he’s probably going to be able to make in that venue. Over the course of this evening, we’ll see what America thinks of some of the acts — of course, we’re predicting that we’ll end up seeing a ton of singers get through even if that’s very clearly not something that we want to necessarily see. (Some of them are good, but others we can do without.)

Before going any deeper into this article, remember that you can refresh it throughout for more updates on the show. Also, be sure to check out some of our pre-show predictions just in case you’re super-curious to see if our early projections actually match what happens.

Dunkin’ Save – Let’s kick things off with this. The three acts who are up for the Save tonight are Angelina Green, Colin Cloud, and Greater Works Choir. We’re not too shocked by these choices, but we did think that Angelina was going to be safe outright just because of America’s love for kid singers. She’ll probably get this.

First Act Saved – Diavolo! This is great, given that they are different, exciting, and we’d want to see them live.

Second Act Saved – Kechi! She closed this past episode of the show, so there is no real surprise there at all.

Third and Fourth Act Saved – Mike Yung and Chase Goehring. Yep, more singers, but you likely assumed that these two were going through off of their success last night.

Fifth Act Saved – Sara & Hero! The dog act got the love that they deserved, and we’re thrilled to see them adding some more spice to the next round. Really, we’re just glad that there are two variety acts guaranteed.

Dunkin’ Save – Colin Cloud is through! We couldn’t be more thrilled with this, given that it’s not the expected choice. Now, either Angelina or Greater Works will join him in the live shows.

Judges’ Save – They actually all came to an agreement for the first time in a while tonight, and opted to save Greater Works from elimination. This meant that Angelina Green is gone, and we feel like that’s probably a symptom of there being so many kid singers in the next round already.

A great starting-off point is over at the link here, given that you can see there a full review of all of the performances from last night’s episode. We’ll be back in the days ahead to discuss more how some of these eliminations came about. (Photo: NBC.)
