Raven’s Home episode 6 spoilers: Can Raven, Chelsea have a night out?

Raven's Home episode 6

When Raven’s Home episode 6 airs on the Disney Channel on August 25, it’s going to do so with an episode that is all about relaxation … in theory. This isn’t a show that is actually going to let its characters off that easy, but it certainly wants you to think that it could! That’s where some of the drama comes from down the road when things go awry.

This installment is entitled “Adventures in Mommy-Sitting,” and the you can see via the details below how this episode starts off — with Raven and Chelsea seemingly getting a break out on the town.

Raven’s Home episode 6 synopsis – “Booker, Nia, and Levi convince Raven and Chelsea they are responsible enough to watch themselves while the moms celebrate a ‘moms’ night out.'”

The first thing that is rather funny about the promo below is the pretense that Chelsea, despite being a grown woman, has never had a night out on the town below. That is a part of the show’s charm — it evolves the characters slightly, but never so much that they feel like different people than they did in the original Disney Channel show. She’s a little bit naive, and that may be one of the reasons why she and her best friend find themselves in some trouble. Specifically, they find themselves in one of the most cartoon-like scenarios ever: Getting locked within some giant vault where Chelsea seems to be starting to run out of air.

Luckily … Booker to the rescue!

Hey, those visions are very much important, and here they will be essential to ensuring that Raven and Chelsea are okay. While the kids have needed Raven and Chelsea so far during the series, this is one of those opportunities to turn the tables slightly so that the focus can be a little bit more on the kids being the heroes. That’s important for their confidence, but it’s also important for both Raven and Chelsea to be aware that their kids can take on this role if need be. They start to see their kids as more than just kids.

While this show may have a lot of high-energy humor, we do think that there are more serious subjects wedged in here occasionally — you should see some of that play out within this episode, given that parents often do need to realize, regardless of however difficult it is, that their kids are going to become more independent over time. It’s a natural part of growing up and finding your own voice within the world.
