Victoria season 2 trailer: See what’s ahead for Jenna Coleman, cast

Victoria season 2 trailer

Hopefully, the new Victoria season 2 trailer helps to create further excitement around its big return to ITV … even though we don’t know a premiere date for the show just yet. The network labels it fall in the trailer below, and we should have more specifics on that in due time.

For the time being, the thing that matters the most is describing this trailer further, given that it shows the wide array of complex situations that lie ahead for the Queen (Jenna Coleman) in the latest batch of episodes. She’s become more accustomed to her role as the Sovereign, but at the same time struggles with some of the different roles that are placed upon her. For one, she’s told to be the most powerful person in all of Great Britain — then, she struggles to determine what her role is as a wife to Prince Albert, given what traditional gender rolls often tell you to do in such situations. Then, she also has to find a way to be a mother and support her family. There will be people out there who still oppose her being on the throne in the first place. If there’s one word that we would use to describe the story that is coming up, it’s complicated — and we think that the trailer below is proof of that.

This season will push you further into British history, albeit at a fairly slow pace. There are inevitably going to be comparisons made between this show and The Crown, and we imagine that just about everyone out there is prepared for those. The biggest fundamental difference between the two series, at least for us, is that this show isn’t try to move you into another part of the Queen’s life too soon. While it’s possible that someday we could get to a point where Coleman needs to be recast as the character, we don’t think that we’re anywhere near that just yet and there is some time in order to explore many years of her life here.
