Fear the Walking Dead season 3B spoilers: Headhunters galore

Fear the Walking Dead season 3B

When Fear the Walking Dead season 3B premieres on AMC on Sunday, September 10, it’s going to do so with a serious reminder that it means business, and it’s not afraid to as many people as it wants to. As a matter of fact, the new trailer that is out there for the show right now seems to suggest that everyone pretty much wants to kill everyone else. There are death-wishes aplenty, and plenty of motivation to execute the act.

Earlier this week, AMC released the full Comic-Con trailer for the show and based on some of what they unveiled there, some of these motivations could come to roost sooner rather than later. Let’s start with this: Some may feel like murder is a better course for dying than going via natural causes. That’s one of the things that the remaining characters need to be most nervous about now.

No water – Wouldn’t it be the most ironic/terrible twist of fate ever if some of these characters go through all of this turmoil only to be killed off by drought? Madison and the rest of the Broke Jaw Ranch residents are only going to have weeks left of water in the new season, so they are going to have to do what they can in order to properly figure out how to work around that.

Walker’s presence – The death of Jeremiah Otto signals a temporary truce between the residents of the ranch and Walker’s crew, but here is the key word: Temporary. There are reasons for the residents to fear Walker still given that they are still on what he perceives to be his land. Also, he murdered Travis. Even if he was not the person who seemingly initiated the war, two wrongs don’t make a right. (It feels very stupid to be that moralistic when discussing a show this insane.) The only real liaison the crew has is Ofelia, and can she be trusted at this point?

Troy Otto – The guy’s a psychopath, and in the event that he finds out that Nick murdered his father, don’t you think that this is going to be a problem? We don’t believe this guy has it in him to keep his cool about anything for a whole season, so just go ahead and prepare to see some heads rolling as a result of him inevitably snapping. He’s a threat that cannot be underestimated just because he’s not altogether strategic or logical with his thinking. He can still walk up to you and stab you right in the heart.

It’s exciting to say that we’re actually looking forward to seeing more of Fear the Walking Dead for the first time in the entire series. While the show always had watchable qualities, the storyline this season, coupled with the new characters and the unique setting, have breathed a whole lot of new life into the story. The added uncertainty is giving it a dimension that the flagship series simply does not seem to have.
