Real Housewives of Potomac reunion preview: A Robyn Dixon face-off

Potomac reunion

You’ve been waiting for some Real Housewives of Potomac reunion drama for a while, and now, the special’s almost here! The first part of this is airing on Sunday night, and there are a few different parts of the show to get excited about. You’ve got the simple regurgitation of some of the drama that happened over the past year, and then you get to the part where viewers get to chime in — and you know that these people have zero interest in watching everyone sit around and sing in a circle.

Before we go any further, let’s go ahead and share some of the base details from the episode coming up.

Synopsis – “The ladies revisit this season’s highs and shady lows as suspicions surrounding Karen’s move are revealed and the question of who will claim the new title of “Grande Dame of Potomac” is answered. Gizelle and Monique go head to head, while Charrisse disputes cheating allegations. Rumors continue to swirl about Robyn and Juan’s relationship, leading Robyn to call out Ashley for her meddling. And the reunion takes a shocking turn when Charrisse accuses Gizelle of having an open relationship in her first marriage.”

As for the preview below, it revolves mostly around some viewer of the show completely goading on a fight between Ashley Darby and Robyn Dixon over her age. There is a whole lot of nonsense in here about whether or not age matters, and whether or not Ashley is qualified to understand some of what the other women have been through with children and other subjects. Our take on this is simple: Who cares? It’s all about context. If someone is being a know-it-all, that’s annoying no matter who you are. If someone is just trying to be helpful, it shouldn’t matter how old you are. You just have to figure out where you want to include Ashley in that.

The thing about these reunion shows is that nobody is ever going to get along, and we also don’t think it’s all that likely that anyone is going to leave them in a better place than when they started. With that, the only thing that you can really hope for is just that there are some interesting discussions that don’t involve near-constant screaming. This could be that, though we don’t think that this will be something that anyone on the show learns for. It’s more just fuel for the fire in the event that the show comes back for another season — which, by the way, we firmly expect for it to.
