Nashville season 5 episode 18 spoilers: ‘The Night Before Life Goes On’

While we sometimes get some scoop to pass along before upcoming episodes, that’s alas not the case for Nashville season 5 episode 18. Here’s what we know about it: The title of “The Night Before Life Goes On.” If that’s not cryptic, what is? That suggests almost that we could be getting into a valley, a moment that is the lowest of the low for one of the main characters. Beyond that could be the time in which we start to see someone turn things around and move their lives a few steps forward, but nothing there is altogether guaranteed. This is not quite a show where anything is altogether guaranteed.

For a little more insight where some of these characters could be entering tonight’s episode, just remember that Scarlett and Maddie each in their own right were feeling mass public scrutiny for events that were, by some nature, misunderstandings. Nobody seemed to care what the full story was with Maddie, Clay, and the arrest, and nobody bothered to care all of that much about the relationship history that was there with Scarlett and Gunnar.

Tonight, you’re seeing more drama between some other pairs — think along the lines of Avery / Juliette and also Zach / Will. Where will things go next? Be sure to come back after tonight for a full preview and analysis of the new promo.

The biggest thing to note is that we are certainly now entering the home stretch of the season — there are only a handful of episodes to go until season 5 is over, and we are left then in the midst of a hiatus.

If you look below, the biggest thing that you can see here is some significant drama surrounding Scarlett and her further attempts to rehab her image. (Not that she ever did anything that bad in the first place, but still.) You can see just how emotional things are with her here, as she gets roped into a new advertisement that seems to be far too much for her — in turn, that causes her to leave.

Meanwhile, there will be some other drama when it comes to Juliette … and is Daphne about to go down a dark path? There have been questions on that since the very beginning, and they’re also about to escalate once more.
