The Flash season 4 pre-production underway; waiting for DeVoe casting

pre-production

Alas, today is another Tuesday without The Flashbut there is some good news: Pre-production for season 4 is underway!

As a matter of fact, pre-production for the Grant Gustin series has been underway for a little over a week now, and we’re only a matter of weeks more or less until season 4 production will start to gear up in Vancouver. There is absolutely going to be a lot of ground to cover in the new season, and there will be many challenges almost from the onset. Take, for example, trying to find a way to get Barry Allen out of the Speed Force and back with his other friends over at Star Labs.

Meanwhile, another challenge will be finding the proper way to introduce Clifford DeVoe. He’s an interesting villain in that his presence has been teased by everyone from Savitar to Abra Kadabra. You know that the character means business, and that it’ll take some intelligence and innovation in order to defeat him. (Also, here’s to hoping that we learn who is playing the character either before the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel or during it. He’s one of the biggest reasons to be excited about the show’s future.)

Beyond all of that, there are a few expected things coming in this season, whether it be a return for Captain Cold in some form or Killer Frost working to find if she is really Killer Frost or Caitlin Snow these days. You’re also hopefully going to have more of Wells, but it’s not clear which one that will be. Earth-2 Harry is the one at this point who’s been the most consistent presence on the show, and he also happens to be the only iteration of the character still alive beyond the ones that are out there on other worlds. H.R. died in the finale, and the original Earth-1 Harrison Wells was technically dead before the Reverse-Flash started to take over.
