Power season 4 spoilers: Omari Hardwick on Ghost’s future
Can he bounce back from this? Maybe, but as Omari Hardwick teased to Entertainment Weekly after tonight’s premiere, a major struggle is ahead that is impacting every other character on the show:
“It doesn’t look good for Ghost. That’s the best tease I can say. It’s hard pressed that a betting man in Vegas would win if they said he was getting out of jail. With the nucleus of the show, that means everyone else is affected. Everybody on the outside. Kanan may have wanted revenge, but even at the end of the day, he’s like, “D–n, if Ghost ain’t getting out, what does that mean for my flow?” What does it mean for Tasha and the kids? What does it mean for Angela and the cops? The cops aren’t completely innocent in terms of how they’ve done things, but they’re obviously happy that he’s not getting out. But everyone else is sort of on pins and needles waiting to see what happens.”
One of the interesting debates that you could be getting into throughout the show creatively is how long to keep Jamie behind bars. There are interesting things that could happen to him there, but at a certain point it’ll be hard to separate him from the outside world. If he’s in there long enough, the story for Kanan stalls, and without Ghost around, Tommy doesn’t have the same foil to work off of and possibly against at this point. Also, you wonder what happens when he gets out when it comes to him and Angela. Is there a chance for anything there is she is proven wrong in her accusations?
