Is The Real Housewives of Potomac new tonight on Bravo?
As for the reason why, it’s an interesting choice not to air a new episode considering that there are no major sporting events on the air tonight. Meanwhile, there are no major holidays for more than a week. The big reason for the delay seemingly has to do with the BET Awards, which are airing at around the same time. There is understandably an interest in not wanting to air against the awards show; Bravo understands their audience far better than we ever could, so if they think that there is some sort of major conflict there, we are rather inclined to believe them.
One other thing that we’re wondering now is whether or not the Potomac series is going to be airing once more in the new year. This show (and the Dallas iteration) both premiered on Bravo last year, and neither one of them generated near the same audience as some of the other popular editions of the franchise. We do like to think that it will come back, but its competition is tough. There are so many other options for viewers these days, and the appetite for some Real Housewives shows has waned over the years. It’s hard to get new viewers into the franchise midway through a series’ run, given that there are so many stories and elements to them that viewers just aren’t all that privy to.
Rest assured that once there is some further news when it comes to the show’s future, we’ll let you know. As for the return of this show on July 2, let’s make it clear that one of the big focuses will be on Robyn confronting her past in a way that she has not before now, and then also some other key confessions that will be explosive. Beyond that, hopefully there will be some opportunities for everyone to see these women reflect on their time this season (otherwise known as the reunion show).
