Outlander season 3: A perfect way to relax post-filming
Earlier this week, Balfe traveled over from Cape Town (where the show filmed the final portion of season 3) to spend some time with the wildlife at the Kariega Game Reserve, a beautiful place east of Cape Town past the city of Port Elizabeth. It’s still close to the coast, and there you have a chance to experience a wide array of animal encounters while still living in a relaxing environment. Some of her photos from her time there can be seen below.
So why share this? One of the main reasons we bring this to your attention today is to further highlight the wildlife of the region, and how important it is for people like Caitriona to be able to spread the good word about the beauty of some of these creatures. We often tend to forget that there is a wilderness out there for some of these creatures, and they are not all confined to zoos. They deserve to be protected, so any form of outreach — even if it is photos from a mini-vacation posted online — is worthwhile to furthering that cause. The World Wildlife Fund is an excellent charity who helps to protect all sorts of endangered species.
Sure, if you want to have a little bit of trip-envy, that is absolutely fine, as well!
Back to Outlander…
We feel like, in general, this is the period of time where everyone is trying to unwind a little bit in the aftermath of filming, which is why it’s a reasonably quiet time for discussions related to the show. Things will likely pick up again in the coming weeks, given that there is probably a Comic-Con schedule announcement coming soon and then the panel itself. There could also be a new trailer / teaser release coming either in San Diego, or on Starz prior to a new episode of Power. There is clearly a whole lot to look forward to even before the show’s return in September!
