Legends of Tomorrow season 3, Arrow season 6, and story hopes

Legends of TomorrowWant a couple of teases on Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow as they move into the new seasons? Hopefully, this article serves as your source.

Let’s start with Legends of Tomorrow, and to be specific, the role of Rip Hunter. It’s been teased already that the character will return leading a new organization, one that does find itself occasionally at odds with the Legends due to their tendency to play fast and loose with the rules.

In outlining more of what is going to be coming up, executive producer Marc Guggenheim had the following message to pass along to Entertainment Weekly:

“In season 2, he was turned evil … This is not Evil Rip. We’re not making Rip a bad guy or that kind of villain, rather this is Rip as… the Ronny Cox in Beverly Hills Cop to our Eddie Murphy. He’s the guy who’s trying to do things the proper way, follow the rules, get things done with a certain level of efficiency, and here come our Legends of Tomorrow, who go about things a bit more unorthodox.”

As for Arrow, we also have a little more news regarding the aftermath of the cliffhanger — especially in terms of how the writers are trying to create a mystery out of who lives and who lies in the Liam Yu explosion. Guggenheim told the website the following on how we shouldn’t assume anything about the future of the show based on who is supposedly coming back:

“The example I like to point to is that was true in Walking Dead. They had a season finale similar where you had a group of characters, all of whom were series regulars, in a dire situation at the end of their season. Just because they were series regulars did not mean that everyone came out of that cliffhanger alive.”

In other words, Guggenheim is saying that you shouldn’t assume that Wild Dog (Rick Gonzalez) and Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy) are surviving just because of recent series-regular promotions for the two. We certainly think it’s possible that someone dies as a result of the cliffhanger, but we actually think the future of the show is based more on the effects of Adrian Chase psychologically as opposed to who lives and who dies.
