Teen Choice Awards 2017: Jensen Ackles, Caity Lotz, Bob Morley among first-wave nominees

Teen Choice 2017

Today, the Teen Choice Awards busted out their first wave of nominees, and with this group you’ve once AGAIN got a wide array of performers covering virtually all walks of live from drama to action to fantasy and beyond.

One thing that is different already about the wave one nominees is a category shift — after years of being in the sci-fi/fantasy category, apparently the DC superhero shows on The CW are being classified now as “action.” That’s probably a good thing for the sake of getting more people nominated. Also, it’s pretty clear that this entire awards show will be dominated by Pretty Little Liars in the drama category.

In addition to the nominees below, we’ve got a little bit of further analysis to go along with it.

“Famous In Love”

The fact that there are two Fox shows nominated here is another reminder that the show does in fact air on Fox.
