Corinne Olympios releases full statement on Bachelor in Paradise incident
Now, Corinne is sharing some of her first thoughts. According to TMZ, she has hired Marty Singer (one of the biggest of the big-shot attorneys out there) and has released a statement sharing her side of events:
“I am a victim and have spent the last week trying to make sense of what happened on June 4. Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place, which I understand is why production on the show has now been suspended and a producer on the show has filed a complaint against the production. As a woman, this is my worst nightmare and it has now become my reality. As I pursue the details and facts surrounding that night and the immediate days after, I have retained a group of professionals to ensure that what happened on June 4 comes to light and I can continue my life, including hiring an attorney to obtain justice and seeking therapy to begin dealing with the physical and emotional trauma stemming from that evening.”
This statement all but ensures that Bachelor in Paradise this season and likely ever is dead. Corinne doesn’t mention DeMario by name, and may be holding production as the true people accountable. This statement is likely to be followed by action, so more information on that front will likely come out in the coming days.
As we’ve said all along, it’s not our place to treat anything as speculation or listen to anonymous sources. It’s best to take the parties involved at their word, and for Corinne, this adds a further level of horror to what was already a terrible situation per some past reports.
Bachelor in Paradise filming was already halted in Mexico. Once there is further information to report on the subject of Corinne and the show, we will provide it over at the link here.
