Stitchers season 3 episode 2 spoilers: Is Linus interested in Ivy?

Ivy

With Stitchers season 3 episode 2 right around the bend on Monday, the time is right to dive into Linus and Ivy’s relationship. What’s going on there? Is anything going on there?

The first thing that is certainly worth noting is that Linus does feel gratitude towards her, and understandably so when you look at the events of the premiere. Because of Ivy, he was able to call home and learn the news about his father’s passing. She was there for him in a moment of tremendous loss, and that sort of thing can bond two people in a way that few other things can.

What makes this a little more interesting now is the relationship between Kirsten and Ivy already, and some of the trust issues that are at play there. Maybe Ivy has some qualities and history to her that scream “bad news,” and maybe that makes Linus all the more interested in turn. There is something about mystery and a challenge that can make someone so intriguing, and potentially Linus is in a place where he is looking for that as a distraction.

The biggest problem is this: The tie between Ivy and her father. This is what, in the second sneak peek, Linus challenges her on. She proclaims that Kirsten’s perception of their dear ol’ dad is right, and then tells him that further grilling on the subject will get him nowhere. (Remember, the perception of Kirsten’s father at the moment can’t be that great because he killed a man in order to get a message across to her.)

What you have to wonder from here is how long Ivy will be around. Will there be the necessary allotted time for something further to develop between Linus and her, or is this a relationship destined more to fall by the wayside? A good third question is whether this is something that could be revisited here and there throughout the season whenever Ivy does turn up.

So, for now, store some of these relationship questions — also, remember that another new relationship could blossom over season 3, and there is still Cameron / Kirsten to think about. For a show with such stakes when it comes to finding Kirsten’s mom, there strangely is a lot of time to ponder over romances, as well.

What do you think about Ivy and Linus as a Stitchers ‘ship? (Fun thing to try and do: Say the words Stitchers ‘ship a billion times over without getting tongue-tied.) Share below!
