Pretty Little Liars series finale: Janel Parrish teases big A.D. reveal
With that, we do come bearing some of the first comments from Janel Parrish (Mona) on what this reveal could look like, and some of them absolutely suggest that there are some interesting things coming in how the writers are choosing to do this. Just take a look at some of what she had to say as a part of a new interview with Entertainment Tonight on the subject:
“You know how a bunch of things happen at the same time? The audience is seeing it happen, but people are figuring it out on their own while you’re watching it? You’re watching it happen as an audience and you’re like ‘Oh! She just figured it out, she just figured it out, they just figured it out, this reveal is happening!’ That’s what’s going to happen.”
What Parrish ultimately says here is that everyone in one way or another is probably going to figure this out all at around the same time. That’s exciting since nobody has a leg up, and when you think about the idea of the Liars figuring it out as opposed to it being revealed to him, there is one theory that can be wiped off the board: A.D. is a complete stranger. If it was, it’s pretty clear that they wouldn’t be able to pinpoint them. How do you identify a mystery person? There is not any real, feasible way in order to do that.
Obviously, there are a ton of theories floating around the internet, and what may actually be the biggest surprise of all is that somehow, someway, the secret about who this person is remains under wraps. The cast and crew have done a good job of avoiding leaks, and hopefully that stays true as we near the series finale airing.
