Poldark season 3 trailer: George takes on Ross, Demelza

Excited to see the latest Poldark season 3 trailer? Now that the show’s official premiere date is set for June 11, BBC One was kind enough to share more!

The latest trailer for the season below is the first one officially released in months, and it features none other than Aidan Turner’s character facing some more drama courtesy of changing circumstances around him. For one, George Warleggan is going to find himself once more torn on his destruction, though he may find some things getting in his way. Take, for example, one of Demelza’s brothers creating a complicated family situation for him. George and Demelza may go at one another this season in a more dramatic way than ever before, and that’s interesting just from the vantage point of wanting to continually see Eleanor Tomlinson with as many different interesting scene partners as possible.

There is of course another obvious problem that will need to be sorted out, and that is the presence of Elizabeth with her unborn child, one that may or may not belong to Ross. Trying to sort THAT out brings out so much more drama when you consider that she is married to George, which creates one of the most awkward character rectangles currently on television. You’ve got a woman who’s been romantically with both men, Ross’ current wife Demelza, and siblings of hers who may be causing problems for George. This is going to be messy, but also fun, action-packed, and dramatic from start to finish.

Poldark is avoiding the finale for Britain’s Got Talent by airing on June 11, and the summer timeslot in general should aid the show in its hopes to get some better ratings without having to worry about Victoria. It remains to be seen how the show is going to fare when the dust settles but for now, it feels right to have some degree of optimism for its success. It already has been successful enough to have earned a renewal for a fourth season premiering at some point next year.
