The Originals season 4 episode 11 spoilers: Kol vs. his own family

The Originals season 4 episode 11

While the Mikaelson family is one that has experienced a wide array of drama over time, The Originals season 4 episode 11 will amplify it. How so? Well, it has a great deal to do with Kol finding himself at odds with all of his siblings, and wondering how he will find a way to extract himself from what is a difficult, potentially-dangerous situation for both him and also those close to him.

This upcoming episode airing next week is entitled “A Spirit Here That Can’t Be Broken,” and based on the first details that are out there, trouble may abound from start to finish.

The Originals season 4 episode 11 synopsis – “When its discovered that The Hollow is using a magical totem to fuel her power, Freya (Riley Voelkel) enlists Rebekah (guest star Claire Holt) and Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) help to locate and destroy it. Elsewhere, an ultimatum by The Hollow puts Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic) at odds with his own siblings, while an unexpected run-in forces Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Rebekah to confront the growing tension between them. Finally, The Hollow’s plan for Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) leaves her in the fight of her life.”

If you love performances, meanwhile, signs point towards this being an incredible opportunity to see many separate people shine. Tonkin has shown her mettle on this series over the years, and this could also give Buzolic a chance to play off of Joseph Morgan and others very well. (Let’s just hope that Kol doesn’t find himself killed off here, though the words “killed off” at this point clearly have a different meaning in the context of this show than they do virtually everywhere else.)

The promo below gives you a further sense of the danger that Kol is in, and to go along with that, the lengths that Hayley is going to find herself in as she hopes to stop The Hollow in its tracks.

This episode is one of the three final stories of the season. With that, the expectation is clear that following this one up is going to only be more momentum, which could build and build until the time of the finale later this month.
