Power season 4 teaser highlights Ghost’s trust issues

The latest Power season 4 teaser is now officially out there online via Starz, and it’s fair to say that Ghost’s trust issues are at the center.

When you look at where the man is at right now, it makes a certain degree of sense that they would be. This is a man who found himself arrested by none other than his former lover Angela at the end of season 3, with her thinking that he was responsible for the murder of Greg. This may be a frustrating sort of confusion for him, but the problem is that it’s hard to blame Angela given all of the crimes that Ghost is guilty of, and all of the things that he in turn didn’t clue her in about. How do you get upset at someone for finally acting out on some long-held suspicions, even if they are geared in the wrong direction on this occasion.

This teaser gives you a panoramic view of all of the people in Ghost’s life; the following is where so many of them stand in relation to him.

Tasha – Probably the most loyal person that he has left, and a part of that is due more towards their history and their children and any deserved loyalty. Ghost’s done some pretty shady stuff to her, and there’s also the whole issue with the papers from last season.

Tariq – Ghost’s own son has now been turned in part against him thanks to Kanan, who will probably be a much bigger player in the early going this season than he was at the start of season 3. He’s the snake slithering around underneath the grass, waiting to strike at the best possible moment. With Jamie’s own son, he’s already found a way to hit him in his most vulnerable spot.

Tommy – There’s a reasonably good chance that Ghost’s former brother-in-arms now has some other things on his mind, including running his own empire.

The big conclusion to draw from all of this is rather clear: Things aren’t looking good for Jamie. He doesn’t have many allies, and the ones he does may find themselves reasonably distracted by everything else going on in their lives to help him all that much.
