Poldark season 3 premiere date (finally) revealed by BBC One

Poldark season 3 premiere date

You’ve waited a long time to learn the official Poldark season 3 premiere date in the United Kingdom. Now, it’s official.

Per BBC One’s official Twitter (see the image below), the Aidan Turner – Eleanor Tomlinson series is going to be returning to the air with new episodes on Sunday, June 11 at 9:00 p.m. local time. This does officially mean that the show is going to be steering clear (thankfully) from airing against the Britain’s Got Talent finale this weekend, and it gives the show more of a steady home over the course of the summer.

Season 3 of the series will pick up following the events of the second season, which saw Ross (Turner) opt to stay home as opposed to rejoining the military. He is working on both his professional business while working to maintain his marriage to Demelza (Tomlinson), which has become very rocky in the aftermath of him sleeping with Elizabeth (Heida Reed). Elizabeth was pregnant at the end of season 2, and it was not clear whether or not the child belonged to Poldark or George Warleggan. This is going to continue moving into season 3, and it is yet another thing that Ross is going to have to deal with if he wants to get his life in order.

Over the coming days, there will be some more news to reveal regarding the story of Poldark season 3, and to go along with that further new photos, videos, and other good stuff. There is a lot to look forward to, but be aware in advance that there is going to be a lot of heartbreak, excitement, and action to go along with it. This is a show that really does try to give you a wide array of different emotions.

As for viewers in America, alas it does still look as though Poldark season 3 will not be premiering on PBS until the fall. This is something worth more discussion a little bit down the line, but rest assured that it will likely be worthy of the wait.
