Britain’s Got Talent results: Did Grace & Ali, Issy Simpson, Matt Edwards advance?
Ultimately, though, the easy prediction was to say that kid magician Issy Simpson would get in alongside either singer Harry Gardner or dancers Grace & Ali. What was a little more embarrassing is that despite being on the show as judges, nobody seemed to be able to remember the NAMES of Grace & Ali. Isn’t that your job to figure this out, guys?
One other thing to remember here is that the acts who didn’t make it will still get an opportunity to perform one more time thanks to the wild-card component of the competition. Regardless of what happens tonight, there are absolutely some great opportunities for all of the acts to come.
Now, the results – Grace & Ali were the first act named in the top three on the night. Meanwhile, Taptastik was going home despite getting to end the show, Destiny went home despite starting it, and then Leah Barniville found herself in a similar position. Issy Simpson, meanwhile, was in the top 3!
What this meant effectively was a heartbreaking showdown between Harry Gardner and Matt Edwards — two very good acts. The act moving forward was … Matt Edwards! Two magicians in the top three! This is also pretty sad for Harry, who was rather good but simply suffered from performer early in the show.
The two acts moving forward – Matt Edwards did it! You can tell how badly this guy wants to win, and being in the final is a huge boost to his career regardless.
Now, it’s between either Issy or Grace & Ali — one of them was the winner, and the other will be going home. Issy is the winner! This meant that Grace & Ali, they were eliminated. (They’re the frontrunners for the wild card spot, no?)
Issy and Matt are great choices to move forward, but who thought we’d be in such an era where magic acts were some prevalent on this show?
